A collection of Autochrome Lumiere photos taken by a Lyonnais dermatologist in the 1930s, compiled, edited, and annotated by Gérard Lévy and Serge Bramly. The anonymous doctor took pictures of prisoners, sailors, artists, and soldiers. A contrast of skin conditions, tattoos, and the natural and unnatural beauty that can be found in both. English and French text.
