Servitude is a collection of anonymous bondage, S&M and Femdom illustrations found in American periodicals dating from the 1930s to ‘60s. Our main æsthetic inspiration is a rare, digest-sized periodical titled Triumvirate of Servitude, anonymously published circa 1965. The cover of this volume is a facsimile of the original, with a minimalist spin on the title.
One of the main goals of the Eros Series is to highlight images rarely seen after their original publication. These are some of the rarest BDSM images we’ve ever found, and we’re particularly stoked to share them here in Servitude. The sources range from crude pamphlets to bound hardcovers with beautifully printed plates. We hope you find them as powerful and singular as we do.
